how to waived off prerequisites in Arizona State of University - ASU
Sometimes people are offered conditional admits, that is they will be offered an admit with a pre requisite course, which they should have completed during their undergrad.
You should always try to clear your pre requisite as it won’t be considered for your degree. You should just clear this for your course with B or above. You will have three options to meet your deficiency requirements:
- You can fix an appointment with the grad advisor or during “group advising,” you will have the opportunity to discuss the assigned deficiencies and produce supporting documents such as syllabus, catalog description, or university transcripts to prove that you have met the requirements. (Check through the syllabus of the deficiency subject. You might have studied it already, under other subject in UG). You should have scored a B grade.
- If the first option is not met, you may sit for the Test-out Exam scheduled before the semester starts. This is an open book, open notes exam. (You might want to ask the seniors for the syllabus and then study. The open book might not be that easy if you are not familiar with it)
- If you do not pass the deficiency exam, you will be required to enroll in the class
You should clear your pre requisite in the first year of your course
